Not so much from an environmental standpoint (this could fill numerous posts), but photographically speaking.\u00a0The climb is\u00a0not\u00a0long by Yosemite standards, but the lack of apparent holds on the colorful granite creates\u00a0the illusion\u00a0of climbers floating on a much larger stone palette.<\/p>\n<p>Landscape photography can often portray the natural world in abstract\u00a0even with the best intentions of\u00a0 preserving its true form.\u00a0It&#8217;s the nature of the beast &#8211; and that&#8217;s fine\u00a0when you&#8217;re creating intentional abstracts or scale is irrelevant. Perspective control lenses and software can correct bending horizons and converging trees to create a more accurate representation if necessary,\u00a0but\u00a0there\u00a0isn&#8217;t much else in nature that conforms to our linear way of thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong, that&#8217;s a good thing!\u00a0Nature should be wild and chaotic and unpredictable, and in most\u00a0cases that&#8217;s exactly what we&#8217;re hoping to capture.\u00a0But\u00a0there are\u00a0times when\u00a0this can also lead to confusion with our audience.
